Where is the conference? Is housing and meals included?

The conference is at Clark Kerr-Krutch Theater (2601 Warring St. Berkeley) on Friday and at the International House-Chevron Auditorium (2299 Piedmont Ave. Berkeley) on Saturday and Sunday. The International House is a 5 minute walk (4 blocks) from Clark Kerr. All the housing and meals are included. All housing is at Clark Kerr. The conference is at Clark Kerr and the International House.

What time does the conference start and end?

Please arrive by 9:30 am on Friday to check into housing at Clark Kerr and register for the conference. The conference officially starts at 10:30 am on Friday in the Krutch Theater at Clark Kerr and end at 4:30 pm on Sunday.

What does the schedule of the conference look like?

Please refer to the conference agenda and schedule for the detail schedule of activities.

What is the dress code?

Casual wear for Friday and Sunday. Business attire for Saturday

Is there parking?

Yes, there is free 2 hours parking on the street and a paid all day parking lot right next to Clark Kerr. There is paid street parking in front of International House. We would recommend that you get someone to drop you off for the 3 day conference or take public transportation.

Is BART close by?

The closes BART station is Rockridge Station then about a 20 minute walk.

Can anyone attend? Is there a cost?

Yes, anyone who is an alumni of a civic leadership program can attend. This conference is intended for college students and young professionals. There is a $50 fee since this conference is heavily funded by Vision New America Foundation.

Can I attend for one day but not the whole weekend?

Yes, but we highly recommend that you attend all 3 days so that you can be a part of a cohort and be able to present the project that you develop together on the last day.

What should I pack for the weekend?

Clothes and toiletries for 3 days, at least 1 set of business clothes, and hair dryer. All attendees will be staying in dorm style housing and all the meals will be provided. We will also provide all the necessary materials for the conference. Bring your awesome attitude and get ready to learn & meet over 150 folks who strive to be a positive impact in the world.
