BAY AREA PROGRAMS provide an opportunity for local high school and college students to develop leadership skills and become more civically engaged.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS

* Leadership Development Trainings
Students who are admitted into the program take part in VNA trainings and an intensive 4-unit, college-level course led by APALI. Dates: April 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, and May 2

* Internship Placement
Students are matched with an internship office for 100 hours (high school) or 160 hours (college) over the course of 10 weeks during the summer.

* Community Engagement Project
Students work with their peers to organize a service project meant to engage and provide resources to a specific local community.

* Voter Registration
Students register 15 new voters.
