Meet the Staff
Liliana Li – Executive Director
Liliana Li was born in Canton, China, and immigrated to the United States at a young age. She grew up in San Francisco, California and received her BA and Masters in Social Work from San Francisco State University. As Executive Director of Vision New America, Liliana directs resource allocation and implementation of VNA civic engagement initiatives, academic internship program grants, and educational forums. For the past decade, she has advanced the growth of VNA from direct program administration to concentrating our efforts on supporting under-funded organizations that spearhead values that align with our mission. Liliana has extensive experience in non-profit leadership, and her passion resides in advocating for underprivileged immigrant communities. Prior to her tenure at VNA, she was a labor organizer for low-income workers of the SEIU Local 616 of Alameda County, and a proponent for immigrant families at the APA Family Supportive Services in San Francisco.
“I believe that once our eyes are open to the needs and challenges of the world, we must take leadership to make it better. Democracy works best if we are all involved.”
